Course Description

Shift to the Remote Learning Environment and Transition Back to the Traditional Classroom in a Blended Learning Environment

Research has shown transition to a remote learning environment and back to a traditional classroom in a blended learning environment can be a challenge for educators of all levels and subject areas. In this course you will develop a deep understanding of how to transition to a remote learning environment and then back to a traditional classroom, but in a blended environment. Through digital media, online applications, activities, projects, research, readings, videos, and discussions, you will determine how you will make the transitions that best fit your students and your needs in both of the learning environments.

Course Details

Number of Units:  3.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Who Should Attend:  This course provides continuing education for teachers K-12 and higher education of any subject who find themselves wanting to make these transitions easier and less interruptive to student learning.

Course Materials:  No text requirement.  Students will need access to Zoom, Kami, Screen Cast-O-Matic, GSuites, Edmodo, Khan Academy, Quill, Mentimeter, and/or Remind accounts by creating new accounts or already have prior access. Students will need access to Microsoft Office, PDF viewer, YouTube, TeacherTube and StudentTube.  Assignments will be differentiated due to what programs student has access to, grade levels and subjects taught.
