This course will allow participants to further explore major cultural shifts and to discuss/debate the potential impact on student social emotional development and behavior as well as what we can do about it in an educational setting. Readings build on concepts introduced in the original New Normal course (not a prerequisite) and were selected to promote critical thought and dialogue, rather than present absolute answers. Participants will read the selected titles and meet virtually with their Professional Learning Team to share and make both personal and professional connections. A final reflection paper will be submitted to the instructor at the end of the course.
