Course Description

Credit Validation for Dyslexia Institute Practicum Only

This is the supervised practicum portion of our Dyslexia Certificate Program. The participant works with a student who has been diagnosed with dyslexia or at high risk for a reading disability. The participant meets online with a mentor to practice techniques taught in the certificate program and prepares samples lessons to present. The participant then prepares lesson plans and works with their student for a minimum of 45 lessons. All lesson plans are submitted and participant records a minimum of two lessons and is provided feedback and coaching from their mentor.

Number of Units: 4.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Who Should Attend: Those enrolled with the supervised practicum portion of the Dyslexia Certificate Program with DTI.
