Credit Validation for WestEd Participants Only

This course is designed to develop expertise in creating units and lessons that provide English Learners with authentic, high-quality learning experiences, fostering both disciplinary practices and language development simultaneously. You will learn to critically evaluate the curricular materials used in your teaching context and enhance them to craft lessons and units that actively invite, support, and challenge students. The course emphasizes supporting students in making meaning and understanding central disciplinary ideas while offering opportunities to deepen their knowledge of content-specific practices, analytic skills, and the language necessary to engage effectively in these practices.

Audience: Educators who have attended previous in-person QTEL Building the Base or disciplinary institutes and want to analyze or design curriculum using their BTB knowledge.

Refund Policy: All Credit Validation enrollments are refundable, minus a $25 processing fee, if requested within 30 days of the enrollment date. No refunds will be issued after the 30-day period.
