Credit Validation for AP Seminars Silicon Valley Only

Outstanding College Board endorsed presenters will provide teachers in the Advanced Placement Program with the skills and materials you need to successfully teach AP. These courses are appropriate for both new and experienced teachers. These seminars have been taught at Stanford, Palo Alto High School, and online.

AP Seminars Summer Institute offers unique and intensive experiences supporting teachers in the instruction of rigorous and exciting courses that prepare their students for Advanced Placement exams. Each course is led by a College Board-endorsed consultant and each teacher receives College Board materials.

Participants must adhere to the following requirements to be eligible for university credit:  1) Register for university credit within one week of your attendance at one of the three offered sections of the Summer Institute and 2) Provide active participation in all classroom hours of Summer Institute. Your transcript will indicate a grade of pass or fail.  For the online offerings, in order to pass the course, you must attend all synchronous sessions and complete assignments given to you by your presenter. The final decision on your grade will be solely that of your presenter.

  • Week 1 Online (001):  July 17-21, 2023        Computer Science Principles, Spanish Literature Culture
  • Week 2 Online (002):  July 24-28, 2023        Computer Science A, European History, French Language & Culture, Spanish Language & Culture, U.S. Government & Politics
  • Week 2 In-Person (003):  July 24-27, 2023    Art and Design, Art History, Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Chinese Language & Culture, Economics (Micro & Macro combined), English Language & Composition, English Literature & Composition, Environmental Science, Physics 1, Precalculus, Psychology, Statistics, U.S. History, World History: Modern

Number of Units:  2.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours
