The start of the new year is often a time for reflection and change. As we look back upon the previous year often, there are habits, actions, and attitudes that we wish to correct or build upon. The beauty of a new year is that it can be viewed as a new beginning. A fresh start. Most of all, it is an opportunity to improve upon ourselves and set goals to become the best individual we can be.
The English Language Academy, as a group of individuals, is no different than anyone else. Each of us on the team has areas that can be improved upon and habits we can break. This year we sat down a discussed our New Years’ resolution as a team and the ways that we can support each other in maintaining them. In the spirit of the new year, we would like to share our resolutions with you, along with tips and tricks on how to help you come up with yours and achieve them.
Marcela Semancik-
“In such a fast-paced, busy world, I feel there is the need to make more effort to be with those we cherish most. Therefore, in 2020 I hope to spend more time with my family and friends.”
Terri Anderson-
“I want to use mornings before work to exercise in some manner, at least four days a week. Similarly, I want to practice yoga and meditation to help maintain peace and calm as my daughter plans her wedding.”
Marijana Vidojevic-
“I want to maintain my healthy lifestyle and encourage others who may be trying to switch to a healthier life. Likewise, set a goal to start an activity which involves a sport like hiking or biking.”
Francine Chemnick-
“I typically don’t make resolutions, but reflecting on 2019, I feel it’s important for me to make a concerted effort to be kinder, more patient, and keep a hopeful outlook so that I may offer a positive contribution to the world.”
Check back in July to see how well we did with keeping our resolutions!
