Lead with Excellent Professional Development Facilitation Practices, Including Use of the Online Platform
This course is expected to launch in June 2022!
This course will serve as the third of the three-course Professional Development Facilitation and Leadership Certificate Program that focuses on Adult Learning. The first course, EDU-X797R, created a foundation for Andragogy and understanding adult learning theory. The second course, EDU-X716S, went deeper into learning and teaching theory, neuroscience, and human resource development. This final course will be a culminating set of learning, centered around online and computer teaching for adults, learner analysis, inventories and diagnostics. This final course applies previous learning to digital context and dives much deeper into ways to better know your learners and yourself as a facilitator and educator of adults. The course will specifically give participants an opportunity to apply their knowledge to new platforms and delivery methods. It will also provide participants with applied tools to self diagnose, diagnose practice, diagnose learners, and diagnose learning styles. All of this new use of platform, delivery, reflection, diagnosis, and application will give the learner a deeper skill and knowledge set as well as the opportunity to apply these directly to their jobs, both current and future.
NOTE: This course is not applicable toward Adult Education preliminary credential in California.
- Design meaningful online learning experiences for adults
- Design meaningful computer-based learning experiences for adults
- Demonstrate understanding of why andragogy has not been further studied and measured
- Apply the practice model in an efficient manner based on the design of the learning experience
- Understand the andragogy in practice inventory
- Develop an individual growth plan based on reflection and use of self-diagnosis tools
- Understand and be able to apply learning contracts to appropriate situations
- Understand the adult learning style inventory and apply results obtained from it

Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for any educator looking to hone skills in designing and facilitating professional learning experiences for other adults (workshops, trainings, presentations, courses) by understanding adult learning theory and implementing skills to reach the adult learner.

Ebook and paperback versions are available. NOTE: This is the same text book that was used in the previous two courses, EDU-X797R and EDU-X716S.
