Begin a New Career with the aPHR Certificate
The Associate Professional in Human Resources™ (aPHR) certification is designed to assist professionals who are just beginning their HR career or transitioning into the HR profession. The aPHR certification program does not require prior HR experience. This preparation course prepares participants for the certification exam as well as provide education in the basics of Human Resource Management. Participants will learn and study about key knowledge areas in order to prepare for sitting for the exam. Topics include: HR Operations; Employee Relations; Recruitment & Selection; Compensation & Benefits; Human Resource Development & Retention as well as Health, Safety & Security. It is the individual student's responsibility to verify their eligibility to sit for the aPHR exam.

Instructor: Marina Galatro, SPHR, PHRca, SHRM-CP, is a senior Human Resources Consultant with more than 20 years of HR experience. She provides effective guidance and support to companies on a variety of topics such as: total rewards, compliance, training & development and strategic HR management. Ms. Galatro is a speaker at many regional and national conferences. She has a BA from San Diego State University and currently holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources, the California Human Resources and the SHRM Certified Professional certificates.
