Course Description

Credit Validation, Convenient Online Format

This course provides the student with an understanding of the credential program requirements as well as the development of effective classroom organization and management strategies. Other topics include an overview of CTE/AE and instructional strategies for a safe and effective classroom.

Learner Outcomes

  • Fulfill requirements for the Designated Subjects 3-year preliminary CTE credentials and the 3-year preliminary Adult Education credential
  • Demonstrate how to establish an effective and safe learning environment, including classroom management and procedures to ensure student success
  • Demonstrate understanding of how Adult Education and CTE foundational documents impact program planning for all teachers

Course Details

Number of Units: 3.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Who Should Attend: Teachers who need to fulfill the requirements for the Designated Subjects 3-year preliminary CTE credentials (issued after 9/1/2010) and the 3-year preliminary Adult education credentials (issued after 2/1/2013)

Refund Policy: All Credit Validation enrollments are refundable, less a $25 fee, if requested within 30 days of enrollment date. There will be no refunds for Credit Validation courses after the allotted 30 days.
