The Study Smart Tutors 2025 Annual Educator Conference is a premier professional development event designed to empower educators with innovative strategies, research-driven insights, and collaborative learning opportunities. The event will be hosted on 04/05/25 at Long Beach City College from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

This year’s conference theme is “Reimagining Success: Strengths-Based Strategies for Transformative Learning”

Conference Focus Areas

  • Asset-Based Instruction – Recognizing and leveraging students’ strengths, cultural backgrounds, and prior knowledge to enhance learning.
  • Cultural Relevance in Education – Applying culturally responsive teaching practices to foster inclusivity and engagement in diverse classrooms.
  • Funds of Knowledge – Understanding students' community-based skills and experiences to create meaningful, real-world connections in instruction.

Key Features

  • Keynote Speaker – Participants will engage in an inspiring and thought-provoking keynote that will set the stage for practical implementation of strengths-based teaching and leadership strategies, ensuring that all students—especially those from historically marginalized communities—thrive in academically rigorous and socially supportive school environments.
  • Professionals Panel – Participants will engage with three research-oriented articles on asset-based instruction, cultural relevance, and funds of knowledge, followed by discussions and applications.
  • Round Table Breakouts – Participants will have the opportunity to join two roundtable discussions, selecting from over 10 different topics. Facilitators will provide hands-on training and interactive discussions on implementing asset-based pedagogy. Educators will engage in scenario-based exercises, networking opportunities, and structured reflection activities to deepen understanding.
  • Post-Conference Research – Participants will explore three relevant academic research tools that provide further insight into funds of knowledge, asset-based instruction, and the development of educational artificial intelligence through a strengths-forward lens.

Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for Study Smart Tutors Participants.

Refund Policy: All Credit Validation enrollments are refundable, less a $25 fee, if requested within 30 days of enrollment date. There will be no refunds for Credit Validation after the allotted 30 days.
