This course offers an introduction to the Slingerland Screening Procedures, Forms A, B, C, and D for students. These procedures, developed by Beth H. Slingerland, help identify students with specific language disabilities. The sooner these children are identified, the sooner remediation can begin. The tests also aid in identifying students who will benefit from structured multi-sensory instruction and whose current language difficulties may continue beyond periods of development or maturational lag and become persistent specific language disabilities in later grades.
