Course Description

Credit Validation for Slingerland Participants Only

This course offers 50+ hours of Explicit, Structured, Sequential, Multisensory Instructional Strategies for teaching Reading, Spelling, Handwriting, and Written expressions. Rationale and instructional techniques in the Slingerland® Adaptation for classroom use of the Orton-Gillingham Approach will be presented in an engaging, hands-on format.

Number of Units: 4.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for classroom teachers, resource teachers, tutors, educational therapists, speech/language therapists and RTI 3 teachers interested in meeting the needs of students with specific language disability who struggle with reading, writing, and spelling.
