This course will provide reading fluency techniques for improving student's reading fluency skills and increase teacher skills for assessment using the podcasting platform. The course will examine what reading fluency is, utilize formative/summative assessment to structure reading groups, reading text selection, podcasting setup and educational integration, and collaborative techniques among student peers.
Number or Units: 3.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours
Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for K-6 teachers as most reading fluency challenges are seen in the lower primary grades.
