Credit Validation for DoDEA Participants Only

Core Instruction offers a comprehensive range of relevant pedagogy and AVID strategies that are suitable for all age groups and student grade levels. This course emphasizes academic language, discourse, and inquiry-based instruction. Educators will explore how to apply AVID's evidence-based instructional best practices to meet the diverse needs of all students. Designed for teacher leaders, this course equips them to both utilize and facilitate strategies from the Core Instruction Modules within their school site. Teacher leaders will facilitate the Core Instruction Module synchronously for the full staff, AVID site team, or by department. This is the second semester course, continuing the focus on effective teaching strategies.
