Course Description

Credit Validation for DoDEA Participants Only

This three-unit graduate credit course is facilitated by Erin LaMay and Chrissy Tovar. The course focuses on helping teachers define Digitally Enhanced Student-Led Discourse, identify when and where to use it in the classroom, and develop a plan for implementation. Participants will engage in 18 online professional learning discussions led by Erin LaMay and Chrissy Tovar, read books and articles on the topic, implement the practices within their classroom, add to a curated DESLD Toolbox of rubrics and lessons, and reflect on the experience with a culminating product. This course supports the Pacific East District’s goal, “21st Century Critical Skills,” which promotes collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking and problem solving by providing the backdrop for these skills.
