Course Description

Credit Validation for DoDEA Participants Only

This two-credit graduate course was designed for general education teachers, ESOL teachers, administrators, and ISSs to build capacity in co-teaching models and the instructional strategies that support the academic needs of multilingual learners across content areas and grade levels.

The course will be broken down into five modules:

1) Introduction to Co-Teaching for Multilingual Learner Success

2) Co-teaching Models 1-3

3) Co-teaching Models 4-5

4) Co-teaching Models 6-7

5) Presentations – Final Application Project

Each module will include a local face-to-face session facilitated by ESOL Teacher Leaders at each complex. For school complexes in Europe without a local facilitator, a virtual teacher leader will facilitate the live sessions via MS Teams. Access to supplemental materials will be provided via the syllabus and live sessions.
