Addressing Behaviors of Concern: A Crisis Team Approach is designed for educators across all grade levels. The course engages participants in learning, understanding, and implementing the Safe Crisis Management (SCM) philosophy, strategies, and interventions. Throughout the course the participants will learn and demonstrate an understanding of the concept of least restrictive alternative for addressing challenging behaviors, and will have the opportunity to practice and refine their SCM skills while participating in monthly training sessions as members of the school crisis management teams.
Number of Units: 1.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours
Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for General Educators, Special Educators, Guidance Counselors, School Psychologists, School Nurses, and School Administrators who will participate in Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training.
Prerequisites:
In order to register for this course, participants must be identified as requiring Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training for SY 2022-23.
