Credit Validation for DoDEA Participants Only

Facilitated by the Center for Instructional Leadership, this year’s summit will again serve as a launch point for ongoing, just-in-time professional learning throughout school year 2023-2024. The learning experiences at the summit are designed to support you as you continue to enhance your skills in the five key areas of DoDEA's Definition of Instructional Leadership:

  • Communicating a shared vision of excellent instruction
  • Establishing and sustaining a culture of trust, continuous improvement, and reflective practice
  • Prioritizing collaborative and ongoing professional learning
  • Maximizing time for instructional improvement
  • Being intentional about building and leveraging teacher expertise

Administrators will meet in large group sessions as well as smaller break-out discussion sessions, led by current senior leaders from DoDEA Pacific and DoDEA Headquarters.

Number of Units: 2.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for Pacific Region Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Principals and Assistant Principals.

  • Build and enhance skills for developing strong leadership teams in districts and schools
  • Build and enhance skills for developing a culture of collaboration among teachers to engage in instructional rounds within districts and schools
  • Build and enhance skills for crafting timely, specific, and actionable feedback  for teachers on the LWT, High Quality Instructional Practices, and FCOT
  • Build and enhance skills to engage in an array of Leaders Inspire sessions that are built around a variety of instructional leadership topics
  • Prepare for the school year with just-in-time topics presented with topics presented by HQ, Region, and CIL personnel
  • Network and build relationships with other school and district leaders
