Course Description

Credit Validation for Yoga Studio Participants Only

Participants will discover the philosophical and physiological tenets that support the practice of Yin Yoga. Participants will learn the anatomy of connective tissue and joints as well as understand how the practice of controlled stress offers deep release. Yoga students will learn fundamental asanas as well as how to link postures together with intelligence. Yoga students will gain practical experience in teaching and designing yin yoga sequences and mindfulness practices to support the practitioner.

Course Details

Number of Units: 1.0 graduate level extension credit(s) in semester hours

Who Should Attend: This course provides continuing education for yoga teachers, massage therapists, physical therapists, medical and health professionals, licensed counselors. All participants MUST be registered with the studio prior to registering for credit.

Prerequisites:

At least 6 months experience in the practice of Yin Yoga.
