Online/In-Class Learning Information

Our courses offer a convenient yet rigorous learning experience that allows you to structure your education according to your schedule while staying on track toward your academic goals.

Online Self-Paced

Our online self-paced courses are similar to fixed-date online courses but provide a six-month window from the time of enrollment to complete all assignments. Instructors provide written feedback on assignments and exams. Grades are based on completed projects, assignments, and exams.

Online self-paced courses are asynchronous, meaning you can work on your assignments at any time. The key difference is that there are no assigned due dates. Content is divided into learning modules, each covering one or more topics. You can expect the following components in each module:

  • A module introduction outlining learning objectives
  • Required readings (textbooks, articles, journals, websites, etc.) and presentations (audio and/or video)
  • Assignments (written work, quizzes, blogs, etc.) based on the assigned materials
  • A module conclusion reviewing key concepts

Most courses culminate in a final project, paper, or exam that integrates the major topics covered across the modules. The rhythm of the course design helps learners manage their time effectively.

Curriculum

You may enroll in individual courses to earn graduate-level extension credits or begin the certificate program with any course. Online self-paced courses are available year-round and allow six months from the enrollment date for completion.
