The purpose of this course is to provide candidates in the Designated Subjects Adult Education and Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential Program with an understanding of how to use the CA Model Curriculum Standards and Framework as well as the other relevant resources for curriculum planning and development of course outlines, unit plans, lesson plans and student assessments. Candidates will focus on the effective use of technology to support and enhance classroom instruction. Candidates will explore the foundations of Adult Education, CTE and business/industry partnerships.
Number of Units: 3.0 graduate level extension credits in semester hours
Who Should Attend: Teachers who need to fulfill the requirements for the Designated Subjects 3-year preliminary CTE credentials (issued after 9/1/2010) and the 3-year preliminary Adult Education credentials (issued after 2/1/2013).

Prerequisites:
Completion of Foundations of Classroom Management with a grade of "C" or better.
Refund Policy: All Credit Validation enrollments are refundable, less a $25 fee, if requested within 30 days of enrollment date. There will be no refunds for Credit Validation courses after the allotted 30 days.
