This course is designed to support and challenge learners through a professional improvement goal related to our school action plan, district or agency initiative. Prospective participants are asked to contact Dr. Popadines prior to registering to discuss a proposed goal to make sure it aligns with an existing initiative. The course will be designed around cycles of learning that include co-planning with the instructor. The next step of the cycle is a classroom visit to allow for feedback on the co-planned learning event. Debriefing will occur soon after the classroom visit. Reflection and adjustment will occur after the debrief. This cycle will occur a minimum of two times for this one credit course. Participants may be asked to volunteer to share their plans, participate in instructional rounds with other teachers or to videotape their best practices while participating in this course. The course will culminate with the participant drafting a plan to continue implementation and growth toward and beyond their goal.
