This course is designed for middle school mathematics teachers seeking to enhance the teaching and learning of mathematics. By the end of the day, teachers will leave with a list of manipulatives they can use in their classrooms to support students’ conceptual understanding of math standards.
Throughout the course, participants will engage in a variety of hands-on, meaningful math tasks that can be immediately implemented with their students. These tasks aim to support the development of mathematical thinkers—not just doers.
