Enhance Your Career with Lean Six Sigma Green Belt!

This Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification program prepares the attendees to solve modern business problems using and applying Lean Six Sigma concepts and techniques. Beginning with the basic theories, including DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control), this certification course covers various tools associated with Lean and Six Sigma approaches. Students who complete their certification will gain an understanding of the strategic importance of business improvement, the need for fact-based management and how to deploy these tools in different sectors and organizations.

Who Should Attend: This course is relevant to any professional ranging from middle management to senior executives. No prior experience in process management or project management is required. Attendees from any industry will benefit as Lean Six Sigma are business problem solving approaches  applicable to every sector equally. This certification course includes a capstone project component which will require attendees to apply the Lean Six Sigma theories they learn in class in their workplace. As a result, there will be a real benefit to the attendees and their employers.

Prerequisites:

Undergraduate degree is preferred, but no there are no official requirements for this course. Unlike other Six Sigma certification courses, our Green Belt Certification includes all materials covered in the Yellow Belt course, plus what is needed for the Green Belt Certification.

Gurpreet Singh: Gupreet Singh, Ph.D., ASQ-MBB, CPSM, CPSD, C.P.M. is an international award-winning thought leader, consultant, entrepreneur, author, coach, and educator. Dr. Singh teaches both the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Yellow Belt courses at USD, while also managing his own consulting company, Strategic Supply Chain & Six Sigma Consulting. Prior to USD, Dr. Singh served as Assistant Professor in the Industrial Engineering department for the USD Shiley- Marcos School Of Engineering. Dr. Singh is also a visiting Professor for Rutgers University, NJ, San Diego State University, CA,  Georgetown University, D.C., and teaches various MBA, MS, and Executive MBA courses in Lean Six Sigma and Supply Chain Management.

Online Fixed-Date: Online fixed-date courses offer a convenient, yet rigorous style of learning that enables you to collaborate with your instructor and other students in a shared, online learning environment. These courses have fixed start and finish dates, but as an online student you will have 24/7 online access to your classroom assignments, syllabus and course resources. Our online fixed-date courses allow you to work on your assignments anytime, although you are required to complete the assignments by specific dates.

How is the learning structured? In an online fixed-date course, you and your classmates will proceed through the curriculum together, collaborating in a shared learning experience. Each online fixed-date course is asynchronous, meaning that you can work on your assignments anytime, although required to complete the assignments by specific dates. The course is designed with learning modules where all of the content is grouped into weekly assignments. Each module covers one or more topics. Within each of the learning modules, you can expect the following components:

  • Module introduction that outlines what you can expect to learn in the module.
  • Required readings (textbook, articles, journals, etc.) and presentations (audio and/or video).
  • Assignments with due dates (which may include: written assignments, journal entries, research, blogs, etc.) based on the readings and presentations.
  • Discussion forum where you answer prompts from the instructor and interact with your classmates.
  • Module conclusion to review the topics and what you should have learned.
