This course is designed to build the expertise educators need to provide English Learners with equitable and high-quality learning opportunities. Participants will explore the evolving educational landscape and what it means to empower English Learners to reach their full potential as critical and productive citizens. Through engagement with disciplinary exemplars, educators will learn to balance high expectations with the appropriate levels of support. The course also focuses on designing well-scaffolded lessons aligned to key standards and fostering the development of students’ academic use of English across content areas.
